GREETINGS FROM WET GUATEMALA!
What a busy month September has been. This was birthday month, our next is in December. It is such a happy time for the children. Each child celebrating their birthday in this quarter receives a store coupon, a small gift and cake for all!
This month was also parasite treatment month, not such a good time for the kids, but a very important one. Every six months each sponsored child and their family receives a chewable tablet to free them of annoying parasites that grow in the impure waters of this area. If they are not dealt with swiftly these invisible parasites can do much damage to an already weak immune system.
The tablet is chalky and bitter, so we have cake right after to remove the taste as quickly as possible. Parasite treatments are provided by EMBRACE at no cost to the families of sponsored children and their families.
Our goal is to have healthy happy children, who will grow to care, love and honor themselves, their families, each other and above all God. Thank you for your support and prayers for each sponsored child.
