A NEW YEAR

2012 another year with many new children to help and to touch with the love of Christ!
 
We had a very busy month with the medical tests being run on each child. This is the second annual full medical exams that we have given to our Embrace children to try to detect an illness and stop it before it gets any worse.  We will have two doctors read the reports and see each child individually and if anything is found or they are suspicious of an underlying illness, they will run further tests.  Many extra hands are needed for this yearly project; it is wonderful to have local people who enjoy lending a hand!  This is just another way that your sponsor child is being cared for with the funds that you send every month.  If you would like to sow into this project please mark your donation Embrace “Health fund”.

We will be having another registration to enroll more children into our program.   After the graduation it left room for many more children for us to watch grow to a healthy state!  If you are interested in sponsoring a child or know someone who is interested; please go to the Servant Ministries web site and click Embrace children or you can also directly email me.

Below I share some pictures of where some of our Embrace children live.  This is just a sample of how many Guatemalan parents struggle on a day to day basis.  Many of these (mud or stick) homes have huge gaps on the roof and ground.  Rats and other animals are free to enter and when the rain comes their children wake wet, and illness sets in.  Please pray for your sponsor child and all those that live under these conditions.
